Women’s Summer Bible Study

Ladies, whether you are a seasoned Bible reader or struggle to keep up with studying Scripture, Open Your Bible will leave you with a greater appreciation for the Word of God, a deeper understanding of its authority, and a stronger desire to know the Bible inside and out.

Join us on Wednesdays (June 7, 14, 21; July 5, 12, 26; August 2) from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Martha Leeper’s home.

Healing Service

Please join us for a Praise and Healing Service on Saturday, April 8, at 6:00 p.m. at Chestnut United Methodist Church.  Certified Lay Minister Tom Leeper will lead the service and give the message entitled, “What Have You Done for Me Lately?”  At this service there will be a time for prayer for all those in need of healing.  Holy Communion will be served.  This service is sponsored by the United Methodist Churches of Sharon, Mt. Pulaski, Latham and Chestnut.

Holy Week Services

Sunday, April 9 – Palm Sunday worship at 9:30 a.m.

Thursday, April 13 – Maundy Thursday worship at 7:00 p.m.  Holy Communion will be served.

Sunday, April 16 – Easter Day:

  • 7:00 a.m. – Sonrise Service
  • 8:00 a.m. – Potluck Breakfast
  • 8:45 a.m. – Activities for kids
  • 9:30 a.m. – Worship featuring the Adult Choir Cantata “He Came for Us”
  • No Sunday School

Journey Through Lent

Join us as we begin the period of Lent, the 40 days before Easter (excluding Sundays), with an Ash Wednesday service on Wednesday, March 1, at 7:00 p.m.  Holy Communion will be served, and the intinction of ashes will be offered.
